You may have heard about our frightening weather we had on Thursday. Well, we are okay. Our home suffered a power outage of about 1 hour. It was still daylight so Grant and Evy didn't mind much. Poor Isaac had to drive right through the storm dogging falling trees and pouring rain to get to his CPA exam. As I said we are fine, we have friends, on the other hand, who are not. We have had many friends without power since the storm, others with flooding basements and some with both. They are all in our thoughts along with the many other people suffering. These photos are of some of the small damage that has occurred around us. There's the pond at Lovelace Park where you can see the water just under the benches. And that tree lines the side of our condo building. This was taken after they started the clean up.
As this all happened I started to wonder who named it Mother Nature. Destruction as mild as this to as deadly as a tsunami could not be done by a mother. Mothers would never make such a mess. So I vote to call it something else...any suggestions?
