This summer we have opened our home to a new pet. If you recall last summer we started with our goldfish Gastelum (RIP) He was fun to have an died this winter. Let me introduce Olympia! She is an Afghanistan Desert Tortoise and quite lively for a tortoise. Grant is fully in charge of taking care of her but it's obvious by now that he's not ready for a pet. I wanted him to see how hard it is to take care of an animal, even one as easy as this. Olympia belongs to Mr. & Mrs. Collins who are teachers at Grant's school. Mr.Collins was Grant's buddy this year and asked if he wanted to take care of her for the summer. We've had fun with her in the back yard and while Isaac wasn't too excited when i asked him he doesn't say much about her. While we take our trek to PA this summer she'll go back to Mr. & Mrs. Collins so we don't have to worry about her. Fun!!
