On Monday Grant had off school for Pulaski Day, an Illinois holiday, you'll have to look it up. I decided to take the kids to a fun new-to-us place called The Grove which is operated by the Glenview Park District. It is full of outdoor creatures including snakes, a big turtle habitat and an 100yr old alligator snapping turtle. They of course have much more so it was so much fun. Grant brought his friend Marlee and I also picked up 2 other friends Holland & Ethan. They were all so well behaved! We looked at everything inside and got to "pet" the a turtle and then we headed outside for a nature walk on their trails. They have pioneer stuff too so we saw an outhouse and carriage and Ethan found deer tracks which everyone had to follow as far as they could. We are already planning a trip for spring and summer to see how the earth changes with the seasons!
